Our Lady of Perpetual Secours Home in Bangalore welcomes Mother General Maria del Monte Auxiliadora and Mother Assistant Marie Rose of the Little Sisters of the Poor!

Arriving at Our Lady of Perpetuel Secours Home in Bangalore, Mother General and Mother Assistant Marie Rose embraced the Little Sisters who welcomed them at the main door, decorated with colourful rangoli.  Then, they were accompanied to the Auditorium.  At the entrance door, 3 Residents elegantly dressed in silk sarees and decked with jewels gave the traditional welcome and as they proceeded, all of them who were inside, showered rose petals on them. 

After that, the Residents in wheel-chairs who were placed in front of the stage, were pushed forward, one by one, according to the song that spelt each letter of WELCOME. 

Then Mother General and Mother Assistant Marie Rose were invited on the stage and honoured with shawls, turbans and garlands.

After that, the Residents danced excellently in spite of their difficulty to walk, to the tune of a well-known prayer song.  Mother was very much touched and appreciated their efforts and thanked them.  This was followed by a lively dance by the Employees, and they offered two saplings of fruit trees. 

The evening programme was concluded as Mère spoke a few words in English and distributed gifts to the Residents.   Then, she wished the AJJ and distributed gifts to them, similarly she did to the Employees.
