IN THE BOARD ROOM
AWAITING THE DELICIOUS LUNCH
On November 23rd, fifty residents and a few Little Sisters from Bangalore St Joseph visited St Francis University in Koramangala, operated by Franciscan Missionary brothers, to view and enjoy the aviation course aircraft. The aircraft used in the aviation course at Saint Francis University (SFU) is a CRJ200 airframe, donated by SkyWest Airlines. This airframe is part of the curriculum for the university's Aviation Technician program, allowing students to train on a regional jet airframe.
Many of our elderly had never seen an aircraft before. They were thrilled to sit inside the aircraft, and some even started dancing. Each resident was accompanied by an employee. After spending some time in the aircraft, they were taken to the boardroom and finally to the stage, where singing and dancing continued. The program concluded with a delicious meal. Many thanks to Brother Peter, the Principal of St Francis University, and Bro. Antony, the principal of the High School, who provided the bus. They went out of their way to ensure our elderly residents were happy and content.
